The red light is usually an indication of fail safe mode which can kick in when a ghd product is experiencing different power surges from the plug point. The best thing to do first is plug the styler into a different plug point in a different room. If the issue still persists, please contact our customer service team on 1300 443 424 (within Australia) between 8.30am – 5.00pm AEST (QLD, Brisbane local time) or by email consumerservices@ghdhair.com.au so that we can look into the issue for you. Please have your product with you when you call as they will require the serial number of your product.

What steps do you recommend in cleaning my ghd styler?

Ensure your ghd styler is fully switched off and removed from any charging source. Once it has cooled down, clean all parts of the appliance with a damp cloth and then wipe dry.

WHAT IS THE DATE CODE AND WHERE WOULD I FIND IT?

The date code is an alphanumerical code, which can be found on the body of your product or on the label near the plug. On your product this can be found:
  • Between the plates opposite the on / off switch for a styler.
  • For the Duet, this can be found on the underside of the styler, near the filter.
  • For Hairdryers, this is located on the body of the dryer.
  • For Hot Brushes and Curlers, you can find this on the underside of the handle.
